With his deep interest in literary forms and craft, it’s not surprising that Cabell’s body of writing includes verse. Cabell wrote a number of poems during his college years, and later used acrostic poems as dedications in his books. He published a book of poetry, From the Hidden Way, and even embedded verse into his prose, as in his books Jurgen: A Comedy of Justice and Figures of Earth.
